Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, donated $30,000 to The Schools Foundation, a North Alabama nonprofit dedicated to supporting Huntsville City, Madison City and Madison County public school districts. Dynetics Chief Operations Officer Trip Ferguson presented the donation to Stephanie Kelley, the nonprofit's executive director, on Monday, March 7, 2022.

"We're proud to be able to provide this gift to one of our longtime community partners, The Schools Foundation," Ferguson said. "We know this contribution will go towards improving the quality of education for students and supporting teachers in our area."

The Schools Foundation works to enhance education in all area schools through a variety of programming and initiatives. Some of the more well-known programs provided by the nonprofit include Principally Speaking, a network of consisting of 72 school principals, and Raise Your Hand, a campaign aimed at helping all Madison County teachers become nationally board certified.

"On behalf of The Schools Foundation Board and myself, I want to thank the team at Dynetics for their amazing generosity and continued support of the K-12 public schools in Madison County," Kelley said. "We are incredibly fortunate to have a community-minded company like Dynetics that recognizes the important role businesses can have in supporting our principals, teachers and students. Their significant support of our schools will strengthen our community by building up tomorrow's leaders."

The donation was gifted during a small presentation at Dynetics' Huntsville office. Present at the presentation were Senior Vice President of Weapons Technology and Manufacturing Ronnie Chronister, Communications Group Director Kristina Hendrix, Senior Vice President of Aerospace, Defense, and Civil Jonathan Pettus, Chief Financial Officer Mike Rooney and The Schools Foundation's board president Dr. Bob Berinato.
