As Dynetics celebrates 45 years in business in 2019, we look to the future as we honor our past--by renewing our commitment to our customers, our employees, and our communities. The Dynetics community outreach initiative--Dynetics Does--does just that.
Dynetics, Inc., was founded on July 1, 1974, in Huntsville, Alabama. Our founders, Herschel Matheny and Steve Gilbert, Ph.D., had a vision for Dynetics to be a company of world-class experts in radar systems engineering and ballistic missile defense (BMD). From the outset, we showed the rapid growth that we still exhibit today. We now serve government and commercial customers in intelligence, strike systems, aviation and unmanned systems, weapons technology, radars and sensors, space, and cyber and IT solutions. We also have expanded our ability to design, prototype, and manufacture in one location. We have always put our customers' missions first while adhering to what we call the four Es: excellence, ethics, enrichment, and enjoyment.
Since the beginning, Dynetics has believed in serving others and enriching the communities in which we live. As the company has grown, so has our presence in our communities across the nation. Just this year, we created Dynetics Does--our community outreach initiative to build partnerships with organizations around the country through volunteerism, charitable donations, and sponsorships. "We are investing and reinvesting in our communities, helping create a better place to live, not only for our employees and their families, but everyone around us. I believe we have a moral imperative to do that," says Dynetics CEO Dave King.
Dynetics is marking our 45th Anniversary with an Incorporation Day Celebration. As part of this event, we are donating $55,000 to three charitable organizations in North Alabama: Village of Promise, HudsonAlpha Foundation, and the Riley Center. These charities are fulfilling a need in our community and the Dynetics family is honored to make these gifts during our anniversary.
