Mark Miller is a 30-year veteran of Dynetics and vice president of the Missile and Aviation Systems division. Miller established this divison with a focus on providing quick response and affordable solutions for customers that demand rapid development, integration, testing and fielding of specialized products - including precision guided munitions, unmanned system components, and specialized mission support software applications. Key elements of this capability include concept development, system design, modeling and simulation, and performance assessment. In addition to all three military services, division customers include the U.S. Special Operations Command, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
His work has been recognized by Dynetics with the Dr. Duane Hays Outstanding Engineer and Bill Parks Product Innovation awards. He has directed or held key leadership positions on multiple programs recognized with national honors including the Air Force Materiel Command 2003 Engineering and Technical Management Award at Eglin AFB, the National Defense Industrial Association 2012 William Perry Award, a 2018 Aviation Week Laureate Award, and an Office of Secretary of Defense 2019 David Packard Acquisition Excellence Award.
Miller is Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), has previously served on multiple AIAA Technical Committees and has been an Associate Editor for the AIAA Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets for the past 20 years. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees in aerospace engineering at Auburn University and was recognized with an Outstanding Alumnus Award in 2012. He presently serves on the Auburn College of Engineering Alumni Council as well as the Department of Aerospace Engineering Advisory Board.
