Threat Modeling & Analysis Program (TMAP) / Threat Models
The ability to develop and exercise models and simulations that accurately and efficiently reflect foreign military
capabilities is a crucial element to the development of US weapons and providing the crucial threat information needed to develop effective
countermeasures and tactics. Dynetics has extended the application of TMAP models to serve as modernized intelligence baselines for weapon,
sensor, and other threat systems. As part of TMAP, Dynetics is developing tools that empower timely dissemination of vital scientific and
technical intelligence, which promotes American warfighter success.
TMAP is an intelligence community initiative to capture authoritative threat knowledge from all source analysis and to
represent this system knowledge in an integrated digital format using MATLAB® and Simulink®. Supporting the TMAP initiative since
its inception, Dynetics has developed numerous integrated system models of, and simulation architectures for, surface-to-air missile systems,
air-to-air missile systems, anti-ship cruise missile systems, aircraft avionics, and ground force systems. Dynetics has successfully extended
the TMAP paradigm to include models of regional health care infrastructure for the intelligence community. We have also been a leader in the
development of graphical user interface-driven TMAP tools that improve and simplify data generation, analysis, and model integration methods.
These tools support:
- Advanced Antenna and Radar Analysis,
- Missile Airframe Modeling,
- Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and Helicopter Characterization,
- Disease Spread Predictions,
- Ground Force Equipment Damage Assessments,
- TMAP Model Integration with Databases, and
- Export to External Human- and Hardware-in the-Loop Simulation Environments.
Through its long-standing partnership with the intelligence community, Dynetics possesses an extensive
knowledge of various threat systems and a comprehensive understanding of the intelligence community’s modeling and
simulation needs. In fact, Dynetics pioneered the process of rapidly prototyping Simulink® models of hardware in
parallel with foreign materiel exploitation efforts to enable timely validation of weapon system operation and performance.
This prototyping process was the precursor to TMAP.
Dynetics is committed to equipping the US military with dependable TMAP simulations and analysis tools to
better understand current and future threat systems.
