Test, Evaluation & Experimentation

Dynetics is a leader in weapon system Research and Development (R&D) and extends this knowledge to the Test and Evaluation (T&E) of weapon systems. Technology areas include radars, seeker systems, Electro-Optic and Infrared (EO/IR) systems, missile aerodynamics and propulsion, warheads and lethality, and electronic warfare. Dynetics understands the design principles for these types of systems and develops tests that evaluate system performance relative to design requirements.

Dynetics has proven T&E expertise throughout all phases of a system’s development from concept through fielding of the system and life cycle upgrades. We perform all aspects of the test process: Pre-test analysis and planning, execution, data capture and analysis, and reporting. We use a wide array of resources including modeling and simulation, measurement facilities, integration laboratories, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) facilities, installed system test facilities, and open-air ranges.

In order to meet customers’ specific T&E needs for the System Under Test (SUT), Dynetics develops specialized test equipment, integrates Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) equipment, and customizes software applications. We implement solutions using a wide variety of technologies including high-speed digital devices, RF/Microwave components, analog devices, PC Bus/VME/VXI architectures, RS 232/422 and 1553 protocols, electro-optical, electromechanical, and multi-layer circuit board design. Those technologies are the building blocks for data acquisition systems, instrumentation, embedded systems, embedded software, and real-time applications.
