Systems Research & Development

Solutions to complex problems are the result of effective integration of knowledge, technologies, and components into a system. Systems Research and Development (R&D) is the process whereby this is accomplished. Dynetics has the ability to understand our customers’ requirements, develop and evaluate solution concepts, and implement the optimal solution in a timely and cost-effective program.

R&D is a fundamental component of competition. Whether in the race for weapons superiority or the communications and computers markets, U.S. R&D provides the edge required to retain superpower status. Current and past military systems have relied on service, Department of Defense (DoD) R&D facilities, and personnel. Service labs and research, development, and engineering centers will play an even more crucial role in the systems of the future and the success of our missions.

Dynetics has supported military R&D programs for more than 30 years. Today, we maintain an active internal R&D program focused on solutions that directly benefit the warfighter — forward-thinking technology innovations that deliver the extra advantage.

Our core expertise centers on sensor and system technologies. Originally established as an RF sensor house, we have developed expertise in EO/IR sensors, missiles, C2, and related technologies. We are now a premier contributor in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, as well as the evolving fields of specific target identification and advanced munitions concepts.
