Quality Programs: SEI CMM Level
3 Certified
In October 2003, the software development activities
of Dynetics earned a Level 3 maturity rating in accordance with
the Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity
Model® (CMM).
The certification is based on guidelines established by the SEI
at Carnegie Mellon University.
The CMM is today’s standard
for assessing a company’s software development capability.
The Department of Defense (DoD) generally requires CMM Level
3 certification for a company in order to be awarded new software
development contracts.
The Level 3 rating indicates that Dynetics’ standard
software processes for developing and maintaining software are
defined, documented, and used within the organization. We ensure
managed requirements, tailored processes, and effective cost
and schedule tracking.
These organizational standard processes integrate
software engineering and management to make managers and technical
personnel more effective; they also ensure continual process
improvement, ultimately
resulting in delivery of software products on time and within
budget.
CMM® and Capability Maturity Model® are registered in
the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to the Software Engineering
Institute. |
